Sarah Ringrave is a multimedia artist from France, living between Brooklyn and Paris. After graduating from fashion school in Paris, she graduated La Sorbonne - Paris VIII, master of Arts and media ecology with la Sorbonne Paris, in exchange with Pace University in New York. She wrote a thesis about human hybridization with the vegetal world, the perception of invisible worlds, and the fluidity of matter. Sarah’s work is often based on the retranscription of mysterious worlds she visits in hypnosis states through dreams and astral projections. As a matter of fact, most of her work is inspired by the things, dimensions, and elements she sees and channels while being in that state. For her, the body is a gate to other dimensions, a channel of expression and transformation. She explores in her practice this fluctuation between body,materiality, and immateriality. She finds the multistate nature of the human body most interesting, especially how it merges with its neighboring matter. In its essence, her practice could be linked to the sacred art movement, which is in connection with nature or the divine, through modern shamanism.
