Arturo Montoto EchevarrÍa’s work is the result of an inquiry in the field of pictorial visualization of post-Renaissance heritage, modeled by representational resources of Western tradition. The artist's fruits have been penetrating the visual palate of spectators for several years, fusing color, realism, and touches of abstraction, in cities such as Paris and the Vatican where they have been exhibited. The viewer feels and tastes with their eyes these tropical fruits from Montoto’s visual language, selected from the exquisiteness, delicacy and a mass whose juiciness transcends oils and brushes. His work “Here in Peace...” was presented as a gift to Pope Juan Pablo II in October 1999 at the Vatican. In his professional career he has more than 40 personal exhibitions and countless group shows in Cuba and other countries.
